INTROVERTED INTUITION
Embrace your super power.

"Everyone in our society has been conditioned to use masculine energy as our default mode." - Lauren Sapala from Writing on the Intuitive Side of the Brain
Masculine energy thrives on desired outcomes, control, and is left-brained. Feminine energy thrives as a vessel, trusting the greater design, using emotion and intuition, and is right-brained. Masculine energy is about doing, while feminine energy is about being.
What does this have in common with creativity or content creation?
Intuition is considered to be more of the feminine way to approach tasks. In the present moment, intuition is at its best, emerging not from the thinking mind but from your soul, free from the past or future. But how to control it? You can't; this is why it is the feminine way of doing it. However, you can develop it, train it through mindfulness – this seemingly unexplainable spark that propels you forward, the spark of inspiration from which ideas are born.
Earlier in my career, I never fully embraced this natural gift of stronger intuition I have as an INFJ. One of the reasons was the lack of mindfulness and constant doing instead of just being. Now, after self-discovery, I realize that I should focus more on my psychological traits, which can become my superpower if I know how to use them.
After a decade in the media production industry, I paused to reflect on my journey during the pandemic. Amidst the joyous projects and travels, I couldn't shake the feeling that something vital was missing—a genuine sense of purpose aligned with my values.
Listening closely to my intuition, I realized that my true calling lies in storytelling that goes beyond mere brand promotion. I'm drawn to narratives that offer real human value, making even the smallest impact profound.
It's often said that embracing vulnerability fuels true creativity. I firmly believe this applies to branding too. Companies that openly share their struggles and growth journey resonate deeply, akin to the classic hero's journey we love in movies. I'm attracted to collaborating with such companies—ones that prioritize transparency, contribute meaningfully to their communities, and integrate sustainability into their core values, surpassing mere profit-driven motives.
Now in my forties, seeking a more rewarding career and aiming to leave a positive mark on our communities and nature, I realize I've lingered too long in my comfort zone. With the unwavering support of my wife, Anna, I've found the courage to step outside that zone and pursue this purposeful path.
My approach now is to embrace feminine energy first in the creative process. No judgment or resistance; let the flow come to me. Then use rational, logical masculine energy in optimizing processes, doing iterations, and reflecting on the craft. It's about balancing feminine and masculine energy in the creative process.
If there is a call to action from this post, it would be: Embrace your feminine side, especially you, the gentlemen – you, the performance-driven thinkers and achievers. Surrender and let go once in a while.
